HOME IS WHERE WE ARE

Our homes are where we come back to ourselves. Where we shut out the outside world and simply let ourselves be. Where there is no need to be anything other than who we are.

I take photographs of people at home - in their craft, in their work, amongst the people they call family, or simply in their actual homes.

I am drawn to the honesty that comes with feeling at home, and the people we are when we feel comforted, safe and at ease.

BrAND PHOTOGRAPHY

There comes a moment when I am taking photographs that my hands begin to move intuitively. They know where the light is, they seek out the right spots on the dials. They find the depth, the interest, the story.

And it is this sense of flow that I like to capture in other artists, makers and creatives. For me brand photography is not just about the final product, but showing the commitment that brought you to where you are. The slow process of learning, developing, and then being within a craft.

FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

It is all too easy when being photographed to sweep the clutter and debris of our lives away to the side. To tidy and curate, to show only the thoughtful and pristine. And yet that is not how we live. Our homes are the imperfect, often messy, always full of love, places we spend our lives.

I adore taking photographs of families in their homes, surrounded by objects that carry weight and significance if not beauty. In spaces that bear the marks of the people who grew up and live there. The streets that are walked everyday, the doors that are slammed, and the kitchen tables covered in crumbs and marks from colourful felt-tip pens.

It's about capturing what is important to you and your family, exactly as they are.

CAMPAIGN AND CONTENT PHOTOGRAPHY

The sense of home we feel in ourselves, when we rid ourselves of expectations and opinions, when we step towards who we really are, is something I have continuously be drawn to in my personal and professional projects. I photograph from an inclusive and empathetic perspective, exploring mental health, sexuality, transitions, and healing in many different ways.

We are working with Getty, and have also worked for Tesco, Booths, The National Trust, Canopy & Stars, and The Unthanks.
