Alice Fox

Alice approached me to make a film about her process as an artist working with found, gathered and grown materials. We wanted to capture the essence of why she creates how she does, limiting herself to using only materials from her allotment plot.
Watching it again has taken me back to those sounds and smells of early summer; the gentle breeze, the birdsong. As Alice herself says, “You know, sometimes it’s just about noticing the detail in things”.
